Hands on competitions

Nail extensions, Salon-Style Categories, and Artistic Challenges : eight competition categories will be offered over two days in 2026 ! All competitions are one hand only, and self-modeling is permitted.

BABYBOOMER.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes. Required Work (one hand only): Nail enhancement using gel, acrylic, or polygel/acrygel, in a salon length. A Baby Boomer gradient must be created within the structure of the enhancement. Competitors must follow one of the prescribed shapes: Squoval (soft square), Oval, Almond, or Coffin/Ballerina.

One Tone.

Duration: 1 hour (one hand only). Required Work : Pure nail enhancement category with sculpted extensions using nail forms only. Competitors must create a strict square shape, following the required length, and use one solid cover color only.

Ultimate Nail Art Challenge.

3D Nail Art Category (Open Theme – One Hand Only). Duration: Conducted throughout the day in multiple sessions. Required Work : a complete manicure with nail extensions, featuring hand-crafted 3D decorative elements. All 3D components must be created by the competitor and securely attached to each nail as part of the final design.

Salon Style French.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (one hand only). Required Work : Nail enhancement using gel or acrylic, applied on tips or sculpted forms. The nails must be created in a salon length and finished in one of the following shapes : Oval, Almond, or Squoval (Soft Square). A classic French manicure is required, featuring a white free edge.

French Gel Sculptured.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (one hand only). Required Work : Ultra-thin gel sculptured nail enhancements (nail forms only). Extensions must be perfectly structured and expertly balanced, following an Extreme Perfect Square shape. The finished length must exceed standard salon proportions. A classic French manicure with a white free edge must be created within the structure (reverse French). Precise measurement requirements and competition specifications apply.

Stiletto Nail Art.

Duration: 2 hours (one hand only). Required Work : A combined technical and artistic category. Nail enhancements must be sculpted using gel, acrylic, or polygel/acrygel on nail forms only. The Stiletto shape is mandatory. Competitors must create a hand-painted flat nail art design. The use of rhinestones is permitted to enhance the final composition.

Free Style Art Manucure.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (one hand only). Required Work : Nail enhancement using gel or acrylic, applied on tips or sculpted forms. The nails must be created in a salon length and salon shape. Competitors must incorporate a trendy nail art design, reflecting current industry trends and techniques. The use of rhinestones is permitted.

Pops Glamour Baby.

Duration: 1 hour (one hand only). Poppit Category. Required Work : Nail extensions created with gel or acrylic using half dual forms (half poppits). The finished nails must follow salon-style length and shape standards. Competitors must create a trendy nail design, such as Baby Color, Baby Glitter, Colored French, or similar contemporary salon techniques. The nail surface must remain smooth and refined, with no raised decorations or 3D embellishments permitted.

Submittedcompetitions

Prepared in advance and submitted on the day of the competition, these categories include eight boxes and one live model presentation.

Salon Trend Manicure

Present a set of ten salon-length nail tips featuring a trendy and commercially wearable design.

Salon Trend Pedicure.

Present a set of ten toenail tips featuring a trendy salon-style design.

Mixed Media.

Present a set of 10 nail tips of any length, either connected or displayed individually, featuring an artistic nail art composition. The design must incorporate at least three different techniques : Hand Painting / Drawing, 3D Nail Art, Decorative Elements (rhinestones, foils, beads, crystals, etc.). Competitors are encouraged to demonstrate creativity, technical skill, and artistic harmony through the combination of these techniques.

Living Art.

Transform an existing object and let your imagination run wild ! Required Work : Competitors must creatively transform an existing object into a unique artistic piece. A minimum of three different techniques must be used in the construction and decoration of the project. Important: While creativity is encouraged, the original object must remain clearly recognizable.

Fantasy Nail Art.

The most creative and spectacular box category ! Required Work : Starting from a single nail tip, create an unlimited 3D artistic universe that showcases your imagination, technical skills, and creativity. There are virtually no limits to the design—all themes, structures, and artistic concepts are welcome. Everything is permitted... as long as it is handmade!

Butterfly « Marco Bonviccini ».

For fans of the Iconic Butterfly Shape Created by Marco Bonviccini ! Required Work: Present a Butterfly Shape nail enhancement, sculpted using nail forms, on either a finger or a display support. The design must showcase the distinctive Butterfly Shape structure while incorporating nail art created with a minimum of three different techniques. Competitors are encouraged to demonstrate both technical mastery and artistic creativity.

Rhine stones.

For lovers of all things sparkly ! Required Work : Present a set of 10 salon-length nail tips decorated exclusively with rhinestones. The design should demonstrate creativity, precision, balance, and visual impact while using rhinestones as the sole decorative medium.

Nail Art Fantasy Total Look.

The Only Category Presented on a Live Model. Required Work: The model must be fully prepared in advance, including nails, makeup, hairstyle, and costume, based on a theme of the competitor’s choice. A 3D artistic nail creation must be produced on each finger, showcasing both technical skill and creativity. The costume is a significant part of the judging criteria and must complement the overall theme and presentation.
